Muskan Khatun​

Muskan Khatun is a courageous Nepali activist and acid attack survivor whose strength and determination have made her a powerful voice for justice and women’s rights. Surviving a horrific attack at a young age, she transformed her personal pain into a mission to fight gender-based violence and advocate for the protection of vulnerable women and girls. Her resilience and activism led to significant legal reforms in Nepal, including stricter laws against acid attacks and stronger measures for victim support and rehabilitation.

Driven by hope and compassion, Muskan continues to use her platform to raise awareness about equality, empowerment, and human dignity. Her story stands as a symbol of courage and transformation—showing how strength, when combined with purpose, can ignite change in society. Recognized nationally and internationally, including as an International Women of Courage awardee, she continues to inspire countless people to stand up against injustice and believe in the power of resilience.
